Safeguarding
At St. Saviour’s we understand the importance of Safeguarding and Child Protection, and have many initiatives to ensure that your children are safe and happy at school.
To support this, we have a Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy which is available on the Policies page of this website. Sometimes, there may be a need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare.
To promote a safe environment for pupils, our selection and recruitment policy includes all checks on staff and regular volunteers’ suitability, including Vetting and Barring Checks as recommended by Westminster City Council and in accordance with current legislation.

We display posters around school so that staff and visitors are aware of our designated leads and what to do if they have a concern about a child.
Staff and adults in school also follow a flowchart of concern to ensure that the correct procedure takes place. Any concerns which are logged by staff may also be shared with the Governors to ensure that they are kept up to date with any information they are required to know.
Visitors to our School
All visitors who come to our school are required to sign in at the office, using our visitor log in system. This helps us to keep track of who is in the school and ensure that all visitors are briefed on our safeguarding procedures on arrival.
Curriculum
Our children feel safe in our school. Children learn to safeguard themselves throughout the curriculum. We learn a lot about healthy eating and online safety too.

Listening Partners
Every year, every child has the opportunity to choose an adult listening partner. The children choose a listening partner and a second listening partner. Children know that if they are ever worried about anything or just want to talk, they can go to their listening partner.
Welfare
We ensure that we have many staff who are first aid trained across all areas of the school. Our dedicated SENCo works with children and parents across the school to ensure they receive the support they need. Medical needs are taken care of by the School Office.
Buddies
The children also take care of each other’s wellbeing in the school through our Buddies scheme. Year 6 and Reception children are paired up and look out for each other. Children across all year groups are kind and supportive of each other.
